MILLERTON - Donald Joseph York, 69, a lifelong resident of Millerton, died March 24, 2001 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, Conn.
Mr. York owned and operated a mobile food truck serving various locations until his retirement 10 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War.
Born March 25, 1931 in Canaan, Conn., he was the son of the late Joseph York and Helen Chase, who survives in Millerton.
He was married to Margaret Fingar, who predeceased him. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons, Donald J. York, Darin W. York of Pine Plains and Richard L. York of Millerton; two daughters, Claudia McGuinness of Star Lake and Candace Schadel of Massilon, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; four brothers, Kenneth Chase of Hot Springs, Calif., Richard Chase of Las Vegas, Lewis Chase of Walker, Texas, and Ernest Chase of Parker, Ariz.; and a sister, Helen Brandt of Millerton. - The Register Herald March 29, 2001
