Miss Beverly A. Flynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Flynn, 328 East Elm St., and Terry D. Finger, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Finger of Dresden, were married in St. Michael's church, Sept. 17. The double ring ceremony was performed at high Mass by Msgr. Joseph J. Sullivan. The bride was given in marriage by her father while John Finger, Jr., acted as best man. Ushers were David Hickey of Syracuse, William Finnigan of Benton, Marshall and Mitchell Finger, brothers of the bridegroom. Ringbearer was Kevin Morse, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morse of Penn Yan.
The bride wore a gown of white floor length empire silhouette of Venice lace over peau de soie with short puffed sleeves. A floor length silk illusion veil attached to a matching inverted pill box hat. She carried a cascade of white carnations and orchid. Paula Flynn, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor. She wore a gown of fern green, floor length, empire and puffed sleeves. She also wore an ivy headpiece and carried a bouquet of bronze daisy mums. The bridesmaids were Vivian and Judy Flynn, sisters of the bride, Judy Van DeMortel and Linda Chaffee. They all wore identical gowns of absinthe green, ivy headpieces, and carried a bouquet of bronze and yellow daisy mums. The flower girl was Winona Flynn, sister of the bride, and wore a gown similar to the maid of honor with an Ivy headpiece and carried a basket of bronze and yellow daisy mums. A sit-down luncheon was held at the Wagner Motor Inn following the wedding ceremony. The couple journeyed to Cape Cod for their honeymoon and will make their residence in Euclid, Ohio. The bride is s graduate of Penn Yan Academy 1964 and attended Highland Hospital School of Nursing. The bridegroom is a graduate of Penn Yan Academy 1964, SYNY at Buffalo and the Lincoln Welding School. A personal shower was given by Judy Van DeMortel and a variety shower by Anne and Pamela Morse. A rehearsal dinner at Hilltop was presented by the John Finger's of Dresden. - The Geneva Times September 28, 1966
