Mr. Fingar has been active in town and county affairs and has served as assessor of his town. He is also active in educational work, having been connected with his school in an official way for seven years in succession. He is a contributing and supporting member of the Reformed Church of Germantown. -

Henry Fingar, lifelong resident of Germantown and prominent farmer, died about 6 o'clock this morning. He had been in ill health since last May. Mr. Fingar was born in Germantown about 84 years ago and for years he operated a large fruit farm about three-quarters of a mile north of the village and Just off Route 9G. He was a charter member of the Germantown Grange and was former town clerk at Germantown, serving two terms. He held a number of other town offices during his younger years. Mr. Fingar was also a member of the Reformed church in that town.
Mr. Fingar is survived by two daughters, Miss Maude Fingar and Mrs. Wesley Closs, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Rockefeller Fingar, all of Germantown. Obituary Hudson Evening Register Nov 13, 1942.
