Miss Mabel Bergstresser, daughter of Mrs. Carrie Bergstresser, 25 Worthington Ave., and Harl W. Mann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mann, Slosson Lane, were married on Saturday, June 23, in Wilkes Barre, Pa. The ceremony was performed at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Robert Marks in the Presbyterian Church. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. John Mandin of Canandaigua. The bride and bridegroom will live at 25 Worthington Ave. - The Geneva Times June 26, 1956
GENEVA - Mrs. Mabel E. Mann, 66, of 25 Worthington Ave., died last night at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow at the Bennett Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Wolfe Jr., pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity or the American Cancer Fund. Mrs. Mann was born in Gorham and was the daughter of Benjamin and Carrie Tears Bergstresser. She has lived in the Gorham and Geneva area all her life. She was employed for 20 years with the Shuron Optical Company. For many years she has been employed at McCurdys of Geneva. Surviving are her husband, Harl W., two sisters, Mrs. Luella Pelling of Geneva and Mrs. Charles (Clara) Hunt of Gorham and several nieces and nephews. - Finger Lakes Times September 19, 1978
