Emil Ehlenberger, forty-three, 7 King Street, Yonkers, died yesterday of a heart attack in his office at the Ward Leonard Electric Company, South and Pearl Streets. An ambulance was called from Mount Vernon Hospital but Mr. Ehlenberger was pronounced dead by Dr. Grace V. Young. Health Commissioner Frank W. Shipman was notified and gave permission for Mr. Ehlenberger's relatives to make funeral arrangements.
Mr. Ehlenberger had recently assumed the position of assistant manager of the Ward Leonard Electric Company, after having been associated with the concern 25 years. He was a native of Brooklyn, and had lived in Mount Vernon before moving to Yonkers 11 years ago, where he was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, being affiliated with Einheit Lodge 461, Mount Vernon, and with Guiding Star Encampment.
Surviving are his wife, the former Clara Finger, a son, Arthur Emil Ehlenberger, Yonkers, two daughters, Adelaide and Edith Ehlenberger, Yonkers, and three brothers, Ernest, Bronx, Edward, Long Island, and Arthur Ehlenberger, Yonkers. Funeral services will be conducted at his home tomorrow at 8 P. M.. with the Rev. Adolphe Myers, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Intermen will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Friday.
