PENN YAN - Funeral services for Martin A. Tones Sr., 59, of 108 Lake St., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Weldon Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl Noyes, pastor, of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
An Odd Fellows' memorial service will take place there at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to the heart fund.
Mr. Tones died yesterday foIlowing a heart seizure. Born in Bristol, he was the son of Bert and Nina Hatch Tones. He had spent most of his life at Penn Yan and had operated the Tones Garage since 1930.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Penn Flying Club, Hunter Hook and Ladder Co. and Keuke Lodge, 149 IOOF. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Carey Tones, two sons, Martin A. Jr., and Robert S., two halfbrothers, Burton and Howard Tones, three half sisters, Mrs. Howard Van Keuren, Mrs. Donald Slater, and Mrs. Clifford Peterson, and four grandchildren, all of Penn Yan.
