The Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Lincoln of 324 McLean Avenue have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Edna Roosevelt Lincoln, to LaVerne W. Loop, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Loop of Pleasantville. The announcement was made recently at a family dinner at the Lincoln home. No definite date has been set for the wedding which is scheduled for the Fall. Miss Lincoln was born In Montgomery, N, Y., and has resided in Yonkers for about six years. She Is a graduate of the Roosevelt High School here and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. The bride-to-be served three months as a dietician in the Yonkers General Hospital and is now assistant dietician In St Luke's Hospital in Philadelphia. Mr. Loop was born in New York City. He is a graduate of the Pleasantville High School and New York University, and is now connected with the Guaranty Trust Company of New York City. The Rev. Mr. And Mrs. Lincoln and Mr. And Mrs. Loop have been friends for the past 40 years. The Rev. Mr. Lincoln is pastor of the First Protestant Christian Church. - The Herald Statesman April 19, 1933
