The wedding of Miss Violet Proud, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Harvey Proud of Sheridan Drive, Rochester, and Robert S. Bain, son of Mr. snd Mrs. Harry Bain, 117 Hermitage Road, Rochester, formerly of Geneva, was solemnized this morning at 9 o'clock In S t Stephen's Church. The nuptial mass was celebrated by the Rev. William McPadden, pastor. The church altar was decorated with bouquets of pink and blue delphlnium. The bride wore a powder blue suit with fitted Jacket, the blouse and collar of embroidered organdie, and a white hat with matching accessories. Her corsage was of pink and white roses. The matron of honor, Mrs. Wilson J. Baker, of Geneva, cousin of the groom, was attired in a dusty pink suit with fitted jacket, white hat and matching accessories. She wore a corsage of deep pink roses.
The groom's attendant was Wilson J. Baker of this city. A wedding breakfast was served the bridal party at the Hotel Seneca following the ceremony. The couple left on a trip by boat for Kingston, Can., and after July 18th will reside in Rochester where the groom is employed by the Rochester Products, a division of General Motors. - Geneva Daily Times July 11, 1942
