Lourin Decker, North Road, Amenia, was slightly injured Friday morning when he fell from a tractor while traveling down Rte. 44 toward Amenia. He was treated at the scene by Dr. Carnes Weeks, and taken to Sharon Hospital by the Amenia Ambulance where he was held under observation until Sunday. -

Lourin Decker, 81, a resident of North Road, Amenia, died Thursday, March 21, at the Hyde Park Nursing Home.
He was born in Ancram May 16, 1892, the son of Frank and Jane Thorpe Decker. A lifelong resident of this area, Mr. Decker was a retired dairy farmer. Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine Brizzie; two sons, Frank, Millerton, and Daniel, New Britain, Conn.; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Miller, Grafton, N.D.; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 24, at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Pine Plains. Rev. William Gardei officiated. Burial will be in Amenia Island Cemetery - The Harlem Valley Times March 28, 1974
