Charles R. Finger, 80, of Peshtigo, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 9, 2010. Born on December 17, 1929, in Oconto, he was the son of the late William and Ethel (Werth) Finger.
On April 7, 1951, he married the former Jeanne Marie McDougal at St. Peter Catholic Church in Oconto. Jeanne preceded him in death on September 22, 2009.
Charles had served his country in the National Guard. He is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was employed by Badger Paper Mills for 41 years retiring in 1992, drove school bus for Peshtigo School District and was well known in the area for his painting and wall papering work. He was an avid Packer fan. He enjoyed trap shooting, sailing the Great Lakes for two seasons, camping, and working on his lawn and in the garden. He loved hunting and enjoyed his trips to Montana. He also enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and extra curricular activities.
Charles is survived by his children: William Finger and foster son, Scott of Green Bay, Patti (David) Wagner and children: Becky, Jodi (fianc? Brad), Christine (Craig), and Matt Michael (Karen) Finger and daughter, Meghan, Tim (Julie) Finger and children: Neal (fianc? Laura) and Sean, all of Peshtigo, Mary (Tim) Buss and children: Jordan and Courtney of Marshfield. Also survived by great-grandchildren: Brady and Cameron; a brother, Eugene (Gerri) Finger two sisters: Judy (Pat) Scanlan and Marilyn Hanson and sister-in-law, Alleen Finger. Besides his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
