Mark and
Dale were twins.
A pre-Christmas fire took the life of a little Olean boy this morning and badly burned his twin brother and his parents.
The tragedy occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee H. Winters, 336 N. 10th St., shortly after 8 a.m.
Dead at St. Francis Hospital was Dale E. Winters, their son, age two and a half years. In fair condition at the same hospital was his twin brother, Mark Winters.
Mr. Winters was in critical condition at the Olean General Hospital; his wife was in fair condition.
Mrs. Winters is the former Miss Barbara Finger. Both are 29 years of age. Their home is on the southeast corner of N. 10th and Reed Sts. across from the old School 6 building.
Mr. Winters is the proprietor of the Winters Billiard Academy at 107 Armory Pl. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Winters, former proprietors of the Winters Liquor Store on N. Union St, they are now in Florida.
Mrs. Winters is the former Miss Barbara Finger, daughter of Mrs. Mary T. Finger, 1114 W. Sullivan St. and the late Police Capt. Edward P. Finger. She is a niece of Police Chief George E. Finger. - Times Herald December 19, 1958
