Found her on the 1892 Naples, Ontario, New York census (E.D. 01 img 2) as
Ida A. Coons age 40.
Mrs. Ida Wilbur Coons died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Eaton of West Cohocton. Feb. 17, '39. She would have been 87 years old if she had lived until April 23, '39.
She was born in Hunts Hollow, the daughter of Euperan and Sarah Wilbur. She was one of a family of 12 children. There were four of her brothers who served in the Civil War.
Mrs. Coons was very active and up until the time she fell and injured her hip. She was always busy sewing and she took great interest
in the current events. Mrs. Coons had lived with Mr. and Mrs Eaton for the past five yrs, except a short stay in Michigan this summer.
She leaves an aged sister in Seattle, Wash., and several nieces and nephews. Her husband Geo. Coons died ten years ago.
The funeral was held at the Eaton home on Sunday, Rev. D. Chapman, of North Cohocton, officiating, burial in Rose Ridge cemetery, Naples. - Atlanta and North Cohocton Times February 22, 1939
