Found him on the 1940 Peekskill, Westchester, New York census (dist 60-274 img 2) as Irving Finger age 15.
WWII Draft Registration
Corporal Irving Finger, 19-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Finger, formerly of Cortlandt Street, Peekskill, and now of New York City, who was reported missing in action three weeks ago, is now reported safe as a prisoner of war in Germany. Corporal Finger was drafted from New York. His parents operated a ladies' apparel shop while in Peekskill. The message concerning Corporal Finger was received yesterday by telephone by Rabbi Max Kielman. The Fingers are members of the Peekskill Hebrew Congregation. - The Peekskill Evening Star February 15, 1945.
