Funeral services were field Sunday afternoon for Miss Lillian Fingar at St. John's church at Manorton, of which she was a member. Miss Fingar died early last Thursday morning at Rosary Hill home, Hawthorne, after a long illness. She was 69 years old and was born in Nevis, where she spent most of her life, and was well known and respected. The deceased is survived by two brothers, Henry of Nevis, John of Red Hook and Hudson four nephews, Charles of Hudson, Foster and Floyd of Nevis and Gordon of Claverack two grandnephews and two grandnieces of Nevis, and several cousins. Services were conducted by the Rev. Herman Vesper and the Rev. Alvin P. Messersmith. Burial was in the Manorton cemetery. The Rhinebeck Gazette May 9, 1946 page 2
