Mrs. Louisa B. Hoppel, a former resident of Phelps, died at the Willlard State hospital last Sunday evening. She was born at Benton Center January 8, 1837, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ketterer, and was one of 15 children. In 1876 she was married to Henry Hoppel who died 11 years ago. Before coming to Phelps she resided in Wayne county. About two years ago she removed to the town of Sodus and was taken to the hospital three weeks ago. She is survived by three daughters and four sons: Mrs. Henry Pells of Newark Mrs. L. A. Orris of Renssslaer Mrs. O. L. Waters, of Miami Sprlngs, Fla., H. P. and Floyd Hoppelot this town and Rolin and Paul Hoppel of Sodus. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter Mrs. Pells, Newark, yesterday afternoon, Rev. Heyd of Lyons officiating and burial was made in the Lyons cemetery. The Citizen, Phelps, N.Y. Dec 31 1931
