Bellona, June 30 - The marriage of Nina M. Tears daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tears of Penn Yan and H. Carlton Roe son of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Roe of Bellona took place Wednesday June 29th -at 1 o'clock at Bainbridge, Rev. G. H. Orvis officiating. They were unattended. The bride wore a white flat crepe suit with hat and shoes to match. The bride is a graduate of Penn Yan Academy, class of 1929 and Training class of 1926. During her teaching career in this vicinity she spent one year at Cortland State Normal school. The groom is a prosperous farmer near Bellona.
After a wedding trip through the Adirondack mountains and at Lake George the couple will be at home on his farm. - Geneva Daily Times June 30, 1932>
