Louis Kleinhens of Hudson has announced the engagement of his daughter, Miss Mary S. Kleinhens, to Pfc. Calvin C. Thayer, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Thayer of Ghent. No date has been set for the wedding.

Miss Kleinhens is a graduate of Germantown High School and the Burroughs Comptometer School in Albany, and is employed by the State Bank of Albany.

Private Thayer, a graduate of Chatham High School, has returned after 30 months in the Mediterranean theater with the Quartermaster Corps, attached to the 1st AAF. He has been in service three years. - The Knickerbocker News June 30, 1945
