FINGER, Clarence D. Quietly passed on April 1, 2011, of Deptford, N.J. Age 88 years. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Anna (Nee-Eaton), son, Gary (Lynne) of Voorhees, pre-deceased by son, Robert (Peggy) of Marlton. Also survived by four grandchildren: Jamie, Christen, Michael and Jaclyn, three great grandchildren and a sister, Helen Stauts of Collingswood.
Born in Glassboro on March 26, 1923, he attended Glassboro H.S. where he met and eventually married his high school sweetheart, Anna. Never fond of heights, he flew 32 missions over Italy in a B-24 as a side gunner with the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the military, he worked at Westinghouse, Philco and finally RCA in Camden as a mechanical designer, concentrating on designing defense systems for Naval submarines.
He was an avid boater spending summer weekends on the river with his family. Known in the CB radio world as 'Joe'. As a hobby he would frequently be found working on electronic equipment.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday 10 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ. Obituary
