Ordered by the court that the following Persons be summoned to appear at the next Court to be held for said County there to Be Tried Respecting their Characters as Enemies to the United States

I haven't been able to find any evidence of the outcome of these accusations, unfortunately. Other than the item above, Peter Finger and his family are not to be found too often in Lincoln County's court records of the late eighteenth century. Two mentions in the Lincoln County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions are:

Peter Finger marks with a swallow fork the left ear & a half penny crop & brands thus "P F" - Minutes from April 1785

The Last Will and Testament of Peter Finger was Proved in open Court and the Widow came into Court and Refused to Qualify as Executor to the will and Claimed Dower in the Land - Minutes from July 1792

Peter Finger's will was read on the Tuesday following the first Monday in July 1792. Present were Robert Alexander, John Moore and David Robinson. The will, which makes very interesting reading, is printed in James Avery Finger IV's book. It seems noteworthy to me that Peter Finger gave priority in his will to the distribution of his books, which was mentioned third (after payment of funeral expenses and his wife, Barbara):

Thirdly I will that my Books be Equally Divided Amongst, all my Children Except my Bible which I give to my wife,
