One of the prettiest of winter weddings took place at Trinity church, Mt. Vernon, New York, at 8 o'clock February 8th when Miss Emily L. Fisher
, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander F. Fisher
of Franklin avenue, and also eldest daughter of the late Jose Joaquin da Silva
, of Macao, China, became the bride of Lyle P. Fingar
of North Germantown.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The best man was Warren L. Fingar
, of Schenectady, a brother of the groom. Miss Helen Fisher
, sister of the bride was maid of honor. She wore a pink tulle gown over white satin. The two bride's maids, Miss Frances Lipp s of New York and miss Aletha Fingar
, sister of the groom, wore brocaded pink taffeta gowns with silver lace, all carrying bouquets of Ophelia roses and wearing silver and pink tulle hats.
The reception was attended by more than one hundred and twenty-five guests. Following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Fingar left for a wedding trip of ten days' duration after which they will reside in their new home at North Germantown. - The Columbia Republican
