Louise Beard Davis, 75, of Lincolnton died (Thursday, May 15, 2003) at Lincoln Medical Center. Her funeral service was held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Brittain officiating. Burial will follow in Leonards Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Catawba County to the late Fred and Christine Finger Beard. She was preceded in death by her husband Dwight Davis and one brother, Clyde Beard. She was retired from the textile industry. Surviving are two sons, James Davis of Lincolnton and Wayne Davis of Vale two daughters, Libby D. Strother of Southern Pines, Christine D. Mosteller of Lincolnton four brothers, Carl Beard, Bill Beard, Rob Beard, Glenn Beard, all of Maiden six sisters, Rosie Poovey, Edith Pirkle, Betty Willis, Mary Emmett, Dorothy Lazenby and Ruth Cansler, all of Maiden and eight grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 434 Fayetteville St. Mall, Two Hanover Square, Suite 1600, Raleigh 27601. Warlick Funeral Home handled arrangements for the family. - Obituary Found her on the 1930 Caldwell, Catawba, North Carolina census (dist 2 img 6) as Mildred L. Baird age 2 years 2 months.
