Mrs. Richard R. Fingar, 49, a native of Millerton, died Thursday, January 27, after a long illness. Born October 22, 1916, she was the daughter of William and Sarah Brammer. She and Mr. Fingar were married in Millerton on March 17, 1933.
Mrs. Fingar was employed in the Wiring Device Department of the General Electric Company, Norwalk, Conn. Her husband is employed by Taconic Products Corporation, Millerton. She was a member of the Millerton Grange and the Millerton Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, a son, Leslie, Millerton two daughters, Mrs. Margaret York, Millerton, and Mrs. Muriel Pitcher, Sharon five brothers, Gerald and Edward Brammer, Lakeville Ronald Brammer Troy and William and Norman Brammer, Waterford, N.Y. six sisters, Mrs. James McLaughlin, Dover Plains Mrs. Marian Bathrick and Mrs. Vera MacNeil, Canaan Mrs. Donald Perry, New Milford Mrs. Donald Smith, Ansonia and Mrs. Margaret LaBarr, Cohoes seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 31, at the Millerton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lee H. Poole officiating. Interment was in the Germantown Reformed Cemetery under the direction of the Valentine Funeral Home, Millerton. - The Harlem Valley Times February 3, 1966
