FINGAR, Raymond W., 92, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2010, at his home in Plant City of natural causes. He was born in Beacon, N.Y., December 29, 1917, and came to Tampa as a child with his family.
He graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended business school in Tampa. He retired as a locomotive engineer from SCL Railroad after 40 years of service, was a member of United Transportation Union Alumni and Grace Methodist Church.
Raymond was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Mary Audrey, and his great- granddaughter, Breann.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Disha) Sulphur, La., daughter, Carolyn White (Joe) Bradenton daughter, Mary Parker (James) of Plant City, Fla., grandchildren, Melinda (Harold) LA Rick (Maryellen) Indiana Dewey (Cathy) Nebraska Tammy Plant City Jami (Randy) Plant City, seven great- grandchildren, Kim, Kourtney, Zach, Sam, Gabby, Jacob, Nathan, Orla and Jack brothers Jack, Wally and Bobby and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at Hillsborough Memorial Gardens, Brandon.
