A Bluff Point young woman will preside as queen of Branchport Fire Department in the Northern Central Volunteer Firemen's Convention parade at Waterloo Friday. Miss Bertha Finger, Penn Yan RD 5, one of the entrants in the ride at die head of Branchport division in an automobile furnished through the courtesy of William Georgia, Branchport fireman. Miss Finger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Finger, RD 5, is a member of the June graduating class of Penn Yan Academy. Miss Finger's participation in the queen contest was sponsored by the Branchport fire department. She was escorted to the contest by Chief George Forsling, Branchport, and Harold Campbell, first vice president of die Northern Central Association. The Branchport firefighters are the only Yates County unit to be represented by a queen.

Miss Bertha Phyllis Fingar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fingar, Bluff Point, was married to Joseph Daniel Kress, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Kress, Rochester, on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 10 a. m. The ceremony was performed at St Michael's Church by the pastor, toe Rev. Francis C. Waterstraat. The bride was attended by Miss Barbara Kress, Rochester, and Lynn Uhl, Rochester, was best man. Ushers were Burton Fingar, Bluff Point, and Thomas Timmons, Rochester. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for 100 guests. The couple will make their home at 32 Upton Park, Rochester, after a trip to Canada. The bride is a graduate of Penn Yan Academy, 1954, and Freeman Business School, Geneva, 1955. She is employed St Hopeman Lumber Co., Rochester, on the office staff. The bridegroom was graduated from Aquinas Institute, Rochester, by Rochester Telephone Corp.
