MR. AND MRS. JANSEN WALLACE DEDERICK,JR., are spending their honeymoon in New York City after their candlelight wedding at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Northeastern Bible Institute, Essex Falls, N. J. The Rev. Charles Anderson performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, the former Miss Dorla Mae Lockerby, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood J. Lockerby, 908 Broad Street, Endicott. Mr. Dederick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jansen W. Dederick, Sr. of Saugerties. They are both students at the Bible Institute and will reside in the married couples' dormitory there when they return from their wedding trip.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace over satin fashioned with a buttoned, fitted bodice, scalloped Peter Pan collar and long tapered sleeves, Her veil of bridal illusion fell from a seed pearl tiara. Her bouffant skirt terminated in a chapel-length train. She carried a cascade bouquet of carnations and stephanotis centered with a cluster of red roses.
Miss Marie Coruccini of Walden, wearing ruby red velvet, was maid of honor. Miss Barbara Humphrey of Valley Falls and Miss Marcia Dederick were bridesmaids. They wore forest green velvet. Miss Sandra Dederick, dressed like the bridesmaids, was junior bridesmaid. Miss Kathy Schultz of Massapequa, L. I., in nile green satin, was flower girl and Wayne Dederick was ring bearer. Bruce Dederick was best man for his brother. Wayne Focht of Tyrone, Pa., Emil Authelet of Foxboro, Mass., and August Kneher of Jackson Heights, ushered.
A reception for 150 guests was held in the main lounge of the institute after the ceremony. - Binghampton Press December 22, 1953 page 12
