James A. Fuller age 67.
James Adelbert Fuller, 86, former deputy commissioner of the Ulster County Welfare Department in charge of old-age assistance, died at his home here, 160 Main street, on Tuesday.
Mr. Fuller, widely known in local banking circles, served as treasurer of the Saugerties Savings and Loan Association for many years and was active in the organization up until his death. He also served six years as justice of the peace of the Town of Saugerties from 1930 to 1936 and was appointed to the welfare department in 1931 serving under Commissioner McElhone. Mr. Fuller also was treasurer of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Saugerties.
Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Fuller of Saugerties a stepson, Harrison Thompson of the United States Army in California, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Annamae Roman of Mineoia, L. I., five grandchildren, a sister, Frances Finger of Kingston, a nephew and a niece. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p m. from the Hartley-Lamouree Funeral Home, 8 Second avenue, Sugerties. Burial will be in the Mountainview cemetery, Saugerties. - The Kingston Daily Freeman February 12, 1948
