The Italy Valley Methodist church was the scene of a pretty wedding at four o'clock on May 7, 1945, when Miss Irene Carey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Carey, of Italy Valley, became the bride of Leslie Fitzwater, S2c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fitzwater, of Branchpoint. The vows were exchanged before Rev. Hiram Chapman, pastor of the Baptist Church of Prattsburgh. Miss Bernice Ingram, of Potter, played the wedding march.
