Arthur G. Potter, 60, of 339 Sly avenue, died in Coring Hospital Saturday at 4 p. m. after suffering a heart attack Saturday morning and being removed to the hospital.
Born in Monterey, June 18, 1879. the son of Orson O. and Ruby E. Fingar Potter, he married Nora Janes of Elmira, who died some years ago. In 1915 Mr. Potter remarried Ora Brewer at Monterey.
Mr. Potter was employed in the Potter Brothers Garage in Corning for 23 years and at the time of his death was a mechanic for Purcell Motor Company. He had also worked for Morrow Brothers Garage.
Surviving are his widow, three children, Merle of Corning, Edwin, with the Army in India, Mrs. Walter Hammond of Riverside, one brother, Charles of Corning, three sisters, Mrs. George Van Gilder of Jamestown, Mrs. Arthur Jacobs of Corning and Mrs. Ola Dennis of Monterey, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the Carpenter Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p. m. with the Rev. H. A. Falk of Big Flats officiating.
