Mary E. Freer, daughter of Mrs. Harry Freer, Stanfordville, became the bride of Robert H. Lyle, son of Mrs. Elizabeth K. Lyle, Millbrook, on Sunday, April 21. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dennis A. Fennessy in the rectory of the Immaculate Conception Church, Bangall, at three' o'clock.
The bride chose Mrs. Thomas Ferry as her only attendant. Thomas Ferry, USN, was the best man. Mrs. Lyle was gowned in white lace and net and her full-length veil was gathered by a halo headpiece of orange blossoms. She carried an oldfashioned bouquet of white carnations and sweet peas. The matron of honor wore a gown of blue velvet and chiffon and a gold Juliet cap. Her old-fashioned bouquet was of yellow roses. Mrs. Freer, mother of the bride, was attired in a green silk print dress with black accessories and wore a corsage of pink sweet peas and carnations. The groom's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lyle, wore a pink gabardine suit and a corsage of white sweet peas and carnations. The bride, a graduate of Pine Plains High School, is employed by the Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation of Poughkeepsie. Mr. Lyle, a graduate of Spring Valley High School, was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army in January of this year after serving for three years. He is employed at the Whitman Publishing Co., Poughkeepsie. - Millbrook Round Table April 26, 1946
