A pretty wedding was solemnized Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Tears, of Benton, N. Y., when their daughter, Ethel May was united in marriage to Mr. Fred World of North Tonawanda. The decorations were in the season's flowers and the ceremony was performed before a bank of ferns and palms, by the Reverend H. G. Andrews, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church. About seventy-five guests were present. The bride was gowned in white crepe voile with shadow lace and pearl trimming and carried a shower bouquet of Bride roses. Miss Mabel Tears, cousin of the bride who was maid-of-honor wore a gown of yellow brocaded silk and carried an arm bouquet of yellow roses. Mr. Alfred Jackson of North Tonawan was the best man. Mrs. Tears mother of the bride wore tan messaiine and Mrs. World mother of the bridegroom was gowned in grey silk. After the ceremony the wedding supper was served. Among the out-of-town guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Becker and children Anna and Philip, of Geneva, N. Y. Mrs. Henry World, Miss Lydia Martin, Mr. Alfred Jackson, Mr. Frank World and Mr. Reuben Graff of North Tonawanda. Mr. and Mrs. World will be at home in 168 Vandervoort street after July 1st. - The Evening News June 27, 1913 page 4 Found her on the 1900 Middlesex, Yates, New York census (dist 139 img 1) as Ethel Tears age 8. Found her on the 1930 Pulteney, Steuben, New York census (dist 66 img 17) as Ethel M. World age 37.
