Charles Race age 73, widower. Farmer, fruit farm. Also in his household is his brother
Levi Race age 65, widower. Laborer, fruit farm. Father, mother born Connecticut.
Charles Race, who resided with his son, George Race of this village, was found dead Thursday morning, April 6th. Mr. Race was 80 years of age and had been in feeble health for some time, having suffered several strokes of apoplexy, which resulted in his death.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vincent Culver of Bluff Point, one son, George Race, and two grandchildren, York and Vincent Race. His funeral was held from the home of his son, Friday afternoon, Rev. Thomas Tighe conducting the service. Interment was made at Branchport. - Penn Yan Democrat April 14, 1916
