Mrs. Amanda Jane Coon, wife of Oliver Coon of this village died early Monday morning after a long illness. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry P. Kilmer and was born at Gallatinville. She was sixty-eight years of age. Mrs. Coon was loved and respected by a large circle of friends. Her patience and ambition during her illness were remarkable. She was a devoted member of the Methodist church. She leaves her husband, Oliver Coon of this village, one son, Earlington Coon of Schenectady, one daughter, Mrs. Paul Tschudin of Schenectady, one brother, Isaac Kilmer, of Nassau, N. Y., and two grandsons. Funeral services were held at her home Thursday morning at half past ten o'clock. Rev. James Douglass, pastor of the Methodist church officiated. The interment was in the cemetery at Elisaville. The Rhinebeck Gazette January 5, 1924
