Mrs. Clark Fingar and her father, Oscar Ackerson visited their sister, and daughter at Ithaca on Thursday. - Geneva Daily Times September 12, 1932

Found her on the 1900 Penn Yan, Yates, New York census (dist 142 img 9) as Matilda R. Ackerson, age 9.

Found her on the 1920 Benton, Yates, New York census age 29.

Found her on the 1930 Benton, Yates, New York census (dist 6 img 20) as Matilda Finger age 38.

Mrs. Matilda R. Finger,of RD4, Carroll Road, Penn Yan, died Tuesday evening at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Mrs. Finger was born in the Town of Benton and had lived in the area all of her life. She was a member of the Potter Baptist Church and a member of the Ella VandeVort Circle of Gorham.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Virginia Finger of Penn Yan, three granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, one nephew, Robert Ackerson of Bluff Point.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home or to the Potter Baptlst Church. - Finger Lakes Times July 18, 1979
