Allen D. Tripp of Pine Plains died Wednesday morning, May 17, at Danbury Hospital, Danbury Conn. Tripp was born May 9, 1929 in Ancram, son of DeWitt Allen Tripp and Myrtle (Melius) Tripp. Besides his father who lives in Copake, he is survived by his wife Shirley (Kilmer) Tripp, a daughter, Mrs. James Montemoro of Millerton, three sons, Allan E. of Hillsdale, Calvin Drabick of Ancram, and Anthony Drabic of Indianapolis, Ind., 11 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Robert Schiffer of Ancramdale, two nieces and two nephews. He was the owner of the Silver Mountain Inn in Millerton, a member of the Ancramdale Presbyterian Church, the Pine Plains Fire Company, the Millerton Gun Club, and the Craryville Rod and Gun Club. Private funeral services will be held Thursday evening, May 17 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home In Pine Plains with the Rev. Alfred Liberatore presiding. Burial will be the the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. - Taconic Press May 18, 1978
