Ruth N. Jennings, 88, a lifelong Ancram resident died Thursday, Oct 28, at her home. Mrs. Jennings was a self-employed home health-care aide locally for many years. She was a member of ihe Ancram Fire Co. auxiliary, the Ancram Grange and St. John's Lutheran Church in Ancram, and was a member and past grand master of the former Rebecca Lodge of Ancram. She was bom Feb. 14, 1900, in Ancram, to Ellsworth andNellie Lown Tripp. She was a graduate of Seymour Smith Academy in Pine Plains. Her husband, Edward Jennings, predeceased her in 1959.
She is survived by a son, Donald Card of Hillsdale (Columbia County) a daughter, Nora Decker of Ancram a brother, Dewitt Tripp of Copake (Columbia County) 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains. The Register Herald November 3, 1988
