Uriah A. Boch, 68, a former resident and business man in Baldwin, died yesterday at the Masonic home in Utica following a short illness. Mr. Boch was a resident of Baldwin for more than 30 years. He started in the real estate business there in 1926. For five years he developed property in the Baldwin Harbor area, and built homes in what was known as the Boch development. Following that, in 1930 he opened a branch office of the Boch Funeral Directors, Inc. of Greenpoint, which had been started in 1884 by his father and of which he was a member. He opened the office at 64 Merrick road, and later moved to 74 Merrick road, maintaining that business for 14 years. He was a life member of the Reliance lodge or Masons in Brooklyn and was a charter member of the Baldwin Harbor Civic association. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy V. Ewing of Merrick, and Mrs. Mary A. Herbert of Baldwin a son, Oscar A. Boch of Baldwin two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
