Mrs. Myra D. Place of Nile died Wednesday, June 20, 1962, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orlin Beach, Andover, New York.
Mrs. Place was born on July 17, 1872, in the town of Wirt, the daughter of George and Martha Burdick Davidson. She was the widow of Edgar T. Place, who preceded her in death in 1931.
She was a member of the Friendship Seventh Day Baptist Church at Nile from 1895 till it disbanded in 1959.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Beach of Andover and Mrs. Ruby Sedgwick of Syracuse four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of Syracuse a sister, Mrs. Lelia Livermore of Andover, and two brothers, William B. and Leroy Davidson of Nile.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 22, in the Mulholland Funeral Home at Andover by the Rev. John Holmes. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship. The Dispatch June 28, 1962 page 3.
