Miss Joan Glum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Glum of Cornwell avenue, Baldwin, became the bride of Leo J. Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy of East avenue, Freeport, Sunday at Our Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic church, Freeport. The Rev. John B. Drab officiated. Mrs. William Koste of Baldwin attended her sister as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Edward Glum of Amityville, sister-in-law of the bride, Mrs. Frederick Glum of Parkchester, aunt of the bride, Miss Rosemary Clifford of Freeport and Miss Virginia Tyrell of Brooklyn. Jerome Murphy was his brother's best man and ushering were Austin Murphy, another brother, Edward Glum, brother of the bride, and William Koste, her brother-in-law. The bride wore a white satin gown, old fashioned style, trimmed with lace. Her full length veil fell from a tiara of seed pearls and she carried white roses. A reception for 100 guests followed at the Masonic temple, Baldwin. A veteran of service with the navy seabees. Mr. Murphy is employed by the New York Telephone company.
