Frederick C. Corts, eighty-two years old, resident of Allegany for more than seventy-five years, succumbed to an illness of a long duration, Wednesday afternoon at five o'clock, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George E. Finger, 1032 West Sullivan Street.
Mr. Corts was born in Germany, August 5. 1850, and came to Allegany with his parents in 1855. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in that village. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Wilhelmina Corts, two daughters, Mrs. Finger, at whose home he died: Mrs. Fred Markert, Olean; one son, Herbert F. Corts, Allegany; a sister, Mrs. Adolph Schubert, Olean, and four grandchildren. - The Olean Times-Herald May 11, 1933
