WWII Draft Registration
George W. Finger, 52, of 196 Geary St. died in his home Thursday after a heart attack.
A semi-pro baseball pitcher in his youth, Mr. Finger was born in Buffalo and attended School 25 and old Central High School. He played with Western New York teams, including the C. A. Weed & Co. nine. During the last 20 years he had been in the meat and provision business.
Besides his wife, Juliet Mahoney Finger, he is survived by three sons, George A., Howard J. and Edward D. Finger; a daughter, Jeanne Marie Finger, and two brothers, Edward C. and Harry O. Finger. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. - Buffalo Evening News January 2, 1948
