Little Jane Elizabeth Fingar, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Piester, has been sick and under the care of Dr. Oliver. Jane is doing well at the present writing. - The Register-Herald December, 1942

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parsons, of Ancram, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jane Elizabeth Fingar, to John Stammel of Albany, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Stammel.

Miss Fingar is a graduate of Roellff Hansen Central school and the Albany School for Practical Nurses. She is employed at the Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Mr. Stammel is working with the Slatterly Construction Company in Albany. No date has been set for the wedding - The Pine Plains Register September 22, 1966
