Mr. Beverly came to Saugerties from New York city in the days when the late William Bienn owned and operated the former Maxwell House, and made his home there. After a residence here for a number of years he was married to Bertha Carnright, who passed away a few years ago. Since then he had resided on Main street until advanced age and failing health caused him to be removed to the sanitarium.
He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. For a number of years Mr. Beverly was a member of the former Saugerties Club. - The Saugerties Telegraph December 9, 1949 page 6
