Funeral services for Dr. Robert B Castree, Saratoga county coroner for 28 years, were held Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock at his residence in Milton avenue, Ballston Spa and later at the Our Lady of Grace, Ballston Lake. Dr. Castree died of a heart attack early Tuesday morning at his home.
He was born in Saugerties, July 2, 1874, was graduated from the Albany Medical College in 1906 and served his internship in the Albany and Saratoga hospitals.
In 1908 he went to Ballston Spa where he practiced medicine until his death.
Dr. Castree received his preparatory education in the Saugerties public schools.
He was a relative of Mrs. Edward B. Styles of Main street. When here he made his home with the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Finger. - The Saugerties Telegraph December 31, 1937
