Harry worked for a local cooperage, eventually rising to become President of Greif Brothers. He was a conscientious worker and very innovative. He held any number of patents for barrels and various shipping containers.
He and my grandmother, Cula Maude Sinclair, were high school sweethearts (though neither graduated) and passed notes frequently - I still have many of them. They married October 17, 1925 at Cula's home in Warren Glen NJ (Cula's parents insisted that Harry be 21 to marry Cula). Harry owned a general store in Warren Glen.
My grandparents were young for grandparents and great fun for all nine of us grandkids. They traveled all over the USA and Canada by car, and after grampa retired, they saw most of Europe. They were not above short-sheeting our beds. Grampa could cook a mean bacon and eggs breakfast; Gramma could cook just about anything else. They both lived well into my adulthood and met most of their 21 great-grandchildren. - Lynn McGrann, 2019
