Mrs. Margaret E. Moore, one of the oldest residents of Germantown and mother of Jay C. Moore, chairman of the Columbia County Board of Supervisors, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pauline Yager, with whom she resided, in Germantown.
The widow of the late Horace Moore, she was born in Germantown on September 16, 1872, daughter of Crawford and Etta Potts Rockefeller. Besides Supervisor Moore and Mrs. Yager, Mrs. Moore is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Walter Decker of Red Hook, three brothers, Crawford Rockefeller of Schenectady, Abram Rockefeller and Tracy Rockefeller, both of Germantown two sisters, Mrs. Emma Fingar of Livingston and Mrs. Etta Hawley of Worchester, Mass., two granddaughters, Mrs. Charles Barnard of Claverack and Mrs. Lee Mickle of Germantown three great grandchildren, Jayline, Nina and Fenton Barnard, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 from the Yadack Funeral Home, Germantown, with the Rev. John Gebhard officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Reformed Church cemetery.
