PENN YAN - Funeral services for Charles Ackerson, 77, of 175 Seneca St., who died yesterday at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p. m. Friday from the Thayer Funeral Chapel. The Rev. David Olsen, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate. The body will be placed in the Lakeview Cemetery Vault for later burial in Italy Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Wednesday and Thursday. Born in Bellona, he was the son of the late Oscar and Sarah Hoose Ackerson. He had always been a resident of the area. Surviving are one son, Robert of RD 5, and two sisters, Mrs. Clark Finger of RD 3 and Mrs. Howard Moniot of Richmond. The Geneva Times January 24, 1962
