Baptized by her Uncle, the Reverend Rudolph Huebsch. He was newly ordained, or maybe not quite ordained, and he entered her birth year as 1902 on the christening document.
Her parents spoke German to one another, and Lizzie, being the oldest, learned some at home before going to the school.
She transferred to Stella Maris Nursing Home where she was given therapy for walking. After a few weeks she left to return home. She was diagnosed with cancer and given 6 months to live. She had a serious, but non-fatal stroke in the early evening of 10-5-94, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where she died the next evening, never having regained the ability to speak (lost the day before). All above information from John Vanko. Found her on the 1930 Baltimore (Independent City), Maryland census (dist 2 img 3) as Anna Hofmeier age 28.
