HICKORY - James Weston Finger, 66, of Hickory, died Jan. 12, 2004, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Born June 20, 1937, in Catawba County, he was a son of the late James C. and Eva Marsh Finger.
A member of Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church, he worked for Burris Machine Co. and was an instructor at Catawba Valley Community College.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Stephens Finger of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Larry Winkler and Rita and Dale Faulkenbury of Hickory; a grandson, Matthew Faulkenbury of Hickory; and a granddaughter, KatieBeth Faulkenbury of Hickory.
The funeral will be conducted by Pastor Dale Faulkenbury assisted by Pastor Paul Deal at 2 p.m. Thursday at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. - Hickory Daily Record January 15, 2004
