Found him on a ship's passenger list age 1 year 9 months with his mother Laberta age 24 and brother Arthur age 6 months. The ship Ems was traveling from Bremen, Germany to New York, arriving 11 Oct 1884.
At 18, he moved Bexar County (San Antonio), Texas to work for Western Union. There, he met and married Clara Fischer and then later Goldie Edna Littrel.
Paul had 4 daughters. He died at his home and is buried in Oatmeal Cemetery, Bertram, Texas.
Found him on the 1900 Brazeau, Perry, Missouri census (dist 72 img 27) as Paul Finger age 17, a laborer in the household of Martin Poppity.
Found him on the 1920 San Antonia Ward 8, Bexar, Texas census (dist 99 img 4) as Paul R. Finger age 37. City Foreman, telegraph company. Came to the U.S. in 1883.
Found him on the 1930 San Antonio, Bexar, Texas census (dist 145 img 49) as Paul R. Finger age 46, line foreman, telegraph.
