CLIFTON SPRINGS - Ralph Charles Tears, 18, of County Rd. 13, died unexpectedly yesterday in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Weld Funeral Home. The Rev. Albert Camm, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Plainsville, at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends may contribute to their favorite charity in his memory.
Mr. Tears was born in Clifton Springs Hospital July 10, 1951, the son of Ralph and Florence Peer Tears. His family had always lived in Clifton Springs. He was a senior at Clifton Springs High School and had worked part-time for Walter's Thruway Service.
He was a member of the Junior Holstein Club and had been a counselor at the Rotary Handicapped Children's Camp in Babcock-Hovey for several summers. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Stephen and James and three foster brothers, Bruce, Paul and David McCloud, all at home his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tears, of Clifton Springs and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
